Broadleaf Search and Index Services

Broadleaf Commerce provides Search and Indexer Services that aid in indexing, searching, filtering, and faceting on data such as Catalog and Product data, Customers, and Orders.

The services are broken down into a number of components that support the various search and indexing services. Search Services provide a number of composable dependencies that allow for out of box functionality as well as a number of pluggable options, such as custom integrations with Search Engines or Appliances.

By default, Broadleaf only directly supports Apache Solr as a Search Engine. Additional details about Broadleaf’s use of Solr can be found here.
